I use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor student learning and growth, combining both formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments—like class discussions, quick writes, quizzes, and exit tickets—help me gauge understanding in real time and adjust my instruction as needed. Summative assessments, such as projects, tests, and presentations, give a broader picture of what students have learned over time. 

One of my strongest qualities as an instructor is my ability to build strong, respectful relationships with my students. I make it a priority to create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and supported. This helps them take risks, ask questions, and stay engaged.

I'm also highly organized and reflective. I plan intentionally with clear objectives in mind, but I’m also flexible—I regularly adjust my instruction based on student needs and feedback. I’m always looking for ways to improve my practice, whether it’s through collaboration with colleagues, professional development, or trying new strategies in the classroom.

Professionally, one of my main goals is to continue growing as an effective and responsive educator. I’m committed to staying current with best practices in teaching, especially in areas like differentiated instruction, technology integration, and student-centered learning. I want to ensure that I'm always meeting the diverse needs of my students.

I also aim to take on more leadership opportunities within my school community—whether that’s mentoring new teachers, contributing to curriculum development, or participating in professional learning communities. Long-term, I’d love to deepen my expertise by pursuing advanced certifications or a master's degree in education.
